“Resolution to Prioritize Library Workers to Receive the COVID-19 Vaccine” among resolutions recently passed by the ALA Council

In an effort to better support library workers during the pandemic and “affirm that Library Workers have a fundamental right to a safe work environment,” the ALA Council passed the Resolution to Prioritize Library Workers to Receive the COVID-19 Vaccine during the recent 2021 ALA Midwinter Virtual held January 22-26. The Council referred the Resolution to the Chapter Relations Committee, the Committee on Library Advocacy, and the Committee on Legislation with the request that the committees issue a joint report to Council by late March 2021.
