David G. Thomas
David G. Thomas, B.A., M.S., is the author of eighteen books on New Mexico and World War II history. He is also a filmmaker, producer, actor, playwright, and screenwriter specializing in the history of the American West.
He is co-founder of the Pat Garrett Western Heritage Festival and founder of Friends of Pat Garrett.
Thomas served as Associate Producer of the 2019 documentary film The Wonder of the Century, based on his book about Giovanni Maria de Agostini, a nineteenth-century world traveler and adventurer.
He is the author of three produced plays on Western history and a two-time recipient of the Will Rogers Medallion Award for Western Biography.
