NMLA is seeking nominations for the American Library Association-Allied Professional Association (ALA-APA) Councilor. This is a special election designated to fill the remaining two years of the three-year term the Councilor serves. In addition to being a member of NMLA, the Councilor must be a member of ALA.
The ALA-APA Councilor acts as a liaison between NMLA and ALA-APA. The Councilor is expected to attend all ALA-APA Council meetings and membership meetings, including at the annual conference and midwinter meetings for NMLA and ALA.
This position will be voted on by the NMLA membership in August/September 2023. Nominations are closed for the other positions up for voting, which include the positions of Vice President, Treasurer, and two Members-at-Large.
