Join your colleagues at the New Mexico Library Association’s 2016 Spring Mini-Conference.  Come to Las Cruces and learn new concepts, make connections, and be rejuvenated.  Attend a variety of programs that address issues facing libraries – programs that will enlighten us, encourage us, and inspire us – as we continue to build effective partnerships and keep libraries relevant for the citizens of New Mexico.

The Mini-Conference will be held Thursday-Friday at the Hotel Encanto de Las Cruces 705 South Telshor Blvd., Las Cruces NM 88011.  

Make plans to attend. Register now! $50 for NMLA members and $80 for non-members, if you register by April 22nd.  This price includes the Opening Reception on Thursday evening, a Continental Breakfast on Friday morning and Lunch on Friday afternoon.

After April 22, registration will be available onsite on Friday morning April 29.  Friday onsite registration will be $70 for Members and $100 for Non-Members.

12:30-3:30 – Guided Walking Tour of Historic Mesilla
Price: $10/person, Pre-Registration is required

4:00-5:00 – Guided Walking Tour of the Las Cruces High School Library
Price: Free, but Pre-Registration is required

Meetings
12:00-2:00 – New Mexico State Library Commission Meeting at the Farm and Ranch Museum

Opening Reception
5:30-7:00 –  Opening reception on the Azul Ultralounge Patio at the Hotel Encanto. Mingle with colleagues and enjoy appetizers.  Cash bar available.

The Conference rate is $99 per night plus taxes & fees. Call the hotel at 575-522-4300 and mention the group “New Mexico Library Association Room Block” to receive our discount.  Make your reservation by Thursday, April 14 2016 to obtain the special rate.  Reservations must be guaranteed with a major credit card, and credit card is required upon check in.

The Hotel Encanto is a Heritage Hotel and Resort featuring a Spanish Colonial design, upscale accommodations, and a central location.  Amenities include free Internet access, a heated outdoor pool and hot tub, fitness room, Garduno’s Restaurant & Cantina, the Azul Ultralounge & Patio, gift shop, ample parking, and a pet-friendly atmosphere. For Exhibitors

NMLA welcomes your interest in our organization and appreciates any level of support that you are able to provide. Vendors may purchase an exhibit table in the main hall or ad space in the Mini-Conference Program.  Table space is limited!  Please contact Jackie Dean, Chair of the Mini-Conference Committee, for more information and to make arrangements.  The deadline for full payment and receipt of ad images is April 1, 2016.  All levels of support include the opening reception on Thursday, and the continental breakfast and lunch on Friday.  Contact Jackie Dean @ jdean@lcps.net
