Library Schools Available Online

New Mexico does not have a school that offers Masters Degree program in Library Science.  If you are interested in receiving your MLS, please check out the following schools:

San Jose State University – The San José State University School of Library and Information Science offers three graduate degree programs, a fully-online and ALA-accredited Master of Library and Information Science degree and a Post-Master’s Certificate program.

Syracuse University – The iSchool at Syracuse University offers three fully online graduate degree programs, a master of information management, a master of library and information science, and a master of library and information science with a concentration in school media.

Texas Woman’s University  – The Master of Library Science degree program at Texas Woman’s University is accredited by the American Library Association Committee on Accreditation, with the status of Continued accreditation. The next comprehensive review visit is scheduled for Spring 2017. The Master of Library Science (MLS) is available entirely online and is designed to prepare professionals to work in information environments.

University of Kentucky – Students can complete the Master of Science in Library Science degree entirely online, and those enrolled in all online classes pay the in-state tuition rate even if they live out of state.

University of North Texas –The department of Library and Information Sciences is part of the College of Information which was formed in October 2008 and became a member of the iSchools in February, 2009. The department offers programs at the graduate and undergraduate level. The program also offers a New Mexico Cohort.
